Just got off NCL Pearl 8 day Alaska cruise. I only lost $10k so they would NOT comp me a $95 facial/shave. They said I didnt have enough play.

This is something the casino hosts give you to show their appreciation and love. MrMike45, sure I could afford the shave or whatever spa deal I wanted. I am late to the party here, but I feel for the OP. I also recently felt that on the star, I had 3 comped massages and felt that the host and crew took care of me. Usually between dollars. Front row center tickets to any concert you want, either in the casino or in town. The customer service wasn't as great as on the star. The evaluation period is between April 1st- March 31st.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} Then you can choose to book or wait. Assuming maybe incorrectly? Yes, as skeeter pointed out, these aren't the greatest things in the world So all these thousands of dollars in comps you have already received And taking to your complaints to cruise critics forum to whine about even more after the cruise was certainly the best way to handle it. DW received and still does receive comp'd spa treatments. Just doesn't make sense. Just have a ship and date in mind when you call and they will tell you what they can do for you. Does this kinda give you an idea of what a "comp" could be? I usually earn between thousand points per cruise. We are on the Epic next month just got off the GEM a few weeks ago but hoping to book something in the Spring. If not please message me back and I'll try to explain further what a "comp" is. Points which, on the last day of the cruise, when you go to casino guest services, they transfer into OBC against your stateroom bill What you lose is only one factor into how many points you earn. Call me an ingrate, but I just don't get that feeling from a strawberry. Neither you nor I are that level. It really Does seem to depend on the Staff, and What perks you. I am wondering because we usually sail Carnival and they send the offers directly to our email or it's on our profile online. I also had a couple cruises where I felt unjustly Stiffed on perks or comps, that I got on other. I earned points total. At least you lost in style. The CAS agents I have dealt with have mostly ; been very easy to talk to. Even more additionally, you get a drink card where you can drink for free in the casino. I said my hero was any member of the crew other than the casino hosts. Hundreds of dollars in comps. These jerks convinced me that I shouldn't cruise NCL again. But a couple times, I felt ripped off for what I spent, and Wanted to come on here and growl about it too Absolutely agree, and I feel for the OP also. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}They said I didn't have enough play. As mentioned above, we get all the little treats and bottles of wine in our cabin. What I'm not though is a bragger, a complainer or a whiner thinking people should be fired over something like this, or cheap. I'm sorry this turned out this way for you. My only suggestion is to phone CAS and see what type of cabin you can get comped for your next cruise. Not 1 cruise with a big loss. Thousands of dollars in comps. So no need to explain that to me, but thank you for the offer. Points are nice but really do not amount to much especially if you chase them. Although it is true that land based casino give much better comps I am surprised that they didn't cover that "shave" for you. I would wait until a few days after your cruise ended in order for your play to show up in their records. I would be disappointed as well. So adding all that in, the casino has taken care of you a great deal. Obviously, the drink package being a perk has diminished this comp somewhat, but you can also get free bottles of water, something that the drink package doesn't even cover. Finally, we get treats sent to our room regularly from the casino during our cruises. Have a great day. I just got off the sun and host gave me an extra Not a lot in my books but better then nothing. And all common None of that is happening on a cruise ship, sorry to burst your bubble. I will give them a call. Tier levels are based off of points earned within a 12 month period. It wasn't even the dollar value of the comps that made me feel appreciated, it was the constant "what can we do for you? My last cruise I started off really bad and lost my bankroll early. Actually LRN, both I and my wife spend plenty of time in the casinos both on cruises and land based and are well aware of what comps are. So going into my September cruise I will only points for the year and have the lowest tier player card but I will be in a suite while someone with 15 points earned over 3 or 4 cruises will be in a balcony at best. These were all "bill direct to the casino" comps that never even hit my bill. They did upgrade my player's card though. Small but again, more comps. What I expected was something called "comps". Yes, I call them directly. A few hundred dollars more in comps. I'm sure, MrMike45, if you keep playing in the casino some time in the future you will learn what a "comp" is. Thank you so much for your quick response. I don't know how people work in customer service and deal with people like you on a daily basis. I thought we might get something from NCL whether a discounted future cruise or OBC on future cruise at least my husband because of his play. Maybe you have a Haven cabin waiting for you All our cruises are CAS cruises and we have never been disappointed with the service or treatment by the Casino staff on any ship, including multiple cruises on the Pearl , and have always been quite happy with the comps provided during the cruise and after. While I have received mailers from CAS regarding specialty cruises with slot tournaments or beach parties, I prefer to pick my ship and date. The comps you are referring to are all Vegas hotel comps. Paying a fraction of what it would have cost if you called NCL directly to book as a non-casino member. Sent from my A1R using Forums mobile app. Having said that we do play for long periods of time, and it sounds like you did too as you made enough points to get to the next level. I have a question, so you have to call CAS to see if you qualify for a future cruise after ending a cruise? They also give points for your play, which you can redeem as OBC against your stateroom account. Very little comped when we come out ahead. It is true that that with the advent of the UBP and SDP packages, the ability of the casino staff to reward their valued players with comps on the ship has been reduced. I am just trying to figure this out because on our offers on NCL when we log in we show no offers. Unfortunately, we don't really Know which Casino staff were going to get, on a particular cruise. I also received a suite comp for my next cruise. I can't get that in Vegas anymore. Two of my again, non-player friends wanted to see the Cirque show I've seen it once and that was enough and the casino host picked it up - and I wasn't even there! Even though I only earned points I still had a few hundred comped off my final bill. On every cruise, our on-board account is zero'd out based on points earned, with the exception of things that they are not allowed to write off. They are certainly more patient than I could ever be. Based on the OP comments, I have to wonder if the casino even tracked the play? Before these packages became universal, we regularly received several comp'd specialty dinners during a cruise. Did they not take anything extra off your final bill? That happens often, onboard and at land casinos. Your end of cruise comp also is not just figured on your points. We have been on 15 or so cruises, first being in Everyone one of them, except for the first obviously, we have been either fully or partially comped for an Oceanview, Balcony or Mini-Suite room. NCL passed out "vacation hero" comment cards to of course tell them about the crew member that went above and beyond.
